What kinds of travel services do you offer?
We thoughtfully plan travel for individuals and families – from tours and cruises to custom-designed journeys – tailoring each experience to your unique preferences and travel style. Our services span ocean and river cruising, honeymoons, luxury villas, faith-based and cultural travel, corporate travel, and more – each designed to deliver a seamless and meaningful experience.
Why is travel important?
Travel is more than recreation – it’s an opportunity for personal growth and enrichment. It broadens perspective, deepens understanding, strengthens relationships, and fosters meaningful connections with cultures and people around the world. At Journease, we believe travel is an investment in experiences that stay with you long after the journey ends … because the most meaningful journeys go beyond the destination.
The JOURNEASE Difference
As a boutique agency, our approach to travel is rooted in personalization. By understanding your preferences, we thoughtfully align you with the right itinerary, whether custom-designed or expertly selected, creating a meaningful, well-curated experience from start to finish.
How do you select your Signature Trips?
Our Signature Journease Collection features thoughtfully selected tours and cruises, carefully chosen by our experienced advisors for their quality, value, and enriching itineraries. Each journey is designed to immerse you in the destination – offering the time and space to truly enjoy every moment.
What forms are required when confirming a reservation?
To confirm a reservation, clients are required to complete our Client Acknowledgement and Disclaimer Notice. This helps ensure all information is accurate and that there is a clear, mutual understanding prior to finalizing travel arrangements.
Please note that electronic acceptance of terms and conditions may also be required by our cruise line and tour operator partners as part of the booking process.Additionally, a copy of a government-issued photo ID (such as driver’s license/REAL ID or passport) is also often requested to verify traveler details and ensure accuracy.
Can itineraries change after publication?
Yes. Cruise lines and tour operators reserve the right to modify itineraries with or without notice due to weather, safety, or operational considerations. Similarly, for custom itineraries arranged by Journease Travel Specialists, we reserve the right to make adjustments as necessary under these circumstances. Any resulting additional expenses will be the responsibility of the traveler.
What are your booking, cancellation, and change policies?
Our Terms & Conditions outline important details including deposit requirements, cancellation policies, change fees, and applicable refund guidelines, which varies by vendor. Adjustments to your reservation may be possible prior to departure; however, additional fees may apply based on timing and supplier policies.
Please note that any Journease Travel Specialists service or cancellation fees are separate from, and in addition to, those charged by our travel partners. All applicable fees will be clearly reviewed with you at the time of booking so you can move forward with confidence.
Do People Still Use Travel Agents?
We LOVE this question… and the answer is YES! In a world of endless options, ever-changing travel requirements, and increasingly complex online booking environments, a travel advisor offers far more than booking assistance. We provide clarity, expertise, and trusted guidance – ensuring your reservations are confirmed with respected travel partners who meet our standards for quality and service. From personalized recommendations to managing the details and advocating on your behalf, working with a travel advisor saves you time and helps create a seamless, well-curated travel experience.
No. All itineraries are subject to change. Circumstances such as weather, supplier availability, or local conditions may require adjustments. Any unused portion of travel is non-refundable once the trip has begun.
Do you provide 24-hour assistance while traveling?
Yes. All clients traveling with us receive a 24-hour emergency phone number to ensure assistance is always available, wherever you are in the world.
Where is your agency located and who do you serve?
We are based in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and serve travelers throughout Central Pennsylvania and across the United States. Whether local or nationwide, clients receive the same attentive, personalized care.
Do you assist with Visas & Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) requirements for international travel?
Visa & ETA requirements vary by destination and may change without notice. While Journease Travel Specialists does not process visas directly, we will guide you to a trusted visa service partner who can assist with obtaining the appropriate documentation for your trip. We recommend beginning the visa process well in advance of travel and confirming entry requirements prior to booking flights to avoid any last-minute complications.
For complete and current entry requirements by country, we recommend visiting https://travel.state.gov/content/travel.html.
What travel documentation should I prepare for upcoming trips?
Travel requirements continue to evolve, and as of October 2025, several key updates affect international travelers.
Beginning May 7, 2025, all U.S. travelers aged 18 and older will need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or an acceptable alternative such as a passport to board domestic flights. To verify, check for a star symbol on the upper corner of your license—if it’s missing, visit your local DMV to upgrade in advance. (Official site: https://www.dhs.gov/real-id)
For those traveling to the United Kingdom, U.S. and Canadian citizens are now required to apply online for an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before visiting. The process is straightforward but should be completed at least a few days before departure to prevent delays. (Official site: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta)
The European Union’s ETIAS travel authorization system, originally expected earlier, has been delayed until mid-to-late 2026. When implemented, ETIAS will apply to travelers visiting Schengen countries such as France, Italy, and Spain, allowing multiple trips over three years once approved. (Official site: https://travel-europe.europa.eu/etias_en)
Israel has launched its own ETA requirement for visa-exempt travelers, including U.S. citizens. The application process is online and can take several days to process, so it’s best to complete it well before departure. (Official site: https://israel-entry.piba.gov.il/)
Additionally, several Caribbean and Mexican destinations—including Aruba, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Mexico—now require online pre-arrival forms or have introduced small tourism fees. Requirements vary by country, so travelers should always confirm current entry rules directly with their destination before travel. How do you protect client privacy and personal information?
Journease Travel Specialists values your privacy and use your personal information solely for the purposes of travel booking, communication, and necessary updates. Your information is never shared or sold to outside parties.
How long does it take to get a U.S. passport?
Routine service currently takes about six to eight weeks, while expedited service averages two weeks. Many travelers are now eligible to renew their passports online, making the process faster and more convenient. To avoid last-minute issues, always check the expiration date on your passport before booking international travel. (Official site: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html)
Are there any health or vaccination requirements still in place?
Most pandemic-related restrictions have ended, but some countries may temporarily reinstate health documentation or vaccination requirements during outbreaks.
Tip: Keep both a printed and digital copy of your vaccination records when traveling internationally.
For complete and current requirements by country, we recommend visiting https://travel.state.gov/content/travel.html
Who is responsible for ensuring correct travel documents?
Journease Travel Specialists provides guidance and reminders, but each traveler is responsible for having the correct identification, visas, and documentation required for departure and entry.
Yes. Both programs save time by speeding travelers through airport security and customs. Renewals are now easier, and some applicants qualify for interview waivers.
Tip: Frequent travelers often find these programs pay for themselves in time saved.
Airlines are increasingly using dynamic pricing that adjusts based on demand, timing, and seat selection. Some have begun modifying fare structures and baggage policies. Cruise lines have also shortened payment deadlines and tightened cancellation rules.
Tip: Always read the fine print before booking and consider travel insurance to protect your investment.
